Support for Judge's Web new project idea "Transparency in traffic"

Project “Transparency in traffic"

Croatia is among the most visited tourist destinations in Europe, whose attendance in the summer period counts in the millions of foreign tourists. The largest part of the guests (about 90%) travels to Croatia by car. Increasing number of foreign visitors inevitably brings greater frequency of traffic at border crossings and on the roads. Given the fact that during the season, there are thousands hundreds of cars  circulating on the Croatian roads  (according to the statistics in Croatia during the season enters 50.000-60.000 cars), significantly increases the possibility of compromising traffic safety for fatigue, and violations of traffic rules, such as improper and inappropriate speed , driving under the influence of alcohol, etc.

Judge's Web project - "Transparency in traffic," aims to increase the safety of road users during the tourist season through the awareness of drivers about responsible participation in the traffic, providing information about the penalties for traffic violations, and also promoting Croatia as a safe tourist destination. The project proposal consists of a flayers with fact sheet that will be distributed at the border entrance to Croatia and the toll for entering the highway, in cooperation with the Croatian Auto Club. Judges Web is one of the leading organizations in providing free legal aid with two years of experience and trained staff. This is a good basis for establishing a call-centre that would provide information for tourists who have experienced problems such as car accident, lost of documents or had similar problems.

The project contributes to the transparency of Croatian legal system and the fight against corruption in the traffic area by providing information to domestic and foreign visitors about traffic laws and violations, which will increase the safety of tourists and protection of their legal rights while visiting Croatia.

Letters of support for the project are signed by: the Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of Interior and the Croatian Auto Club.
